NOTD: Chanel Ilusion D'ombre Le Vernis Peridot Nail Lacquer

There are times where a product just makes you stop and stare.  Perhaps its a sequined covered clutch or a fabulous gold dress, but one evening for me it was Chanel Peridot Nail Lacquer.

Chanel Peridot Nail Lacquer is a frosted shade of yellow-green with a tinge of blue along the edges.  That tinge of blue was extremely hard to capture in pictures.  The blue comes out when you are in motion, along the ridges of nails and on the edges of the bottle.  Now, this isn't quite the same shade as what I've seen in actual peridot gemstones.  The gem & rock nerd in me knows that peridots tend to run a little bit more green and without much blue to them. Peridot is a gorgeous and unique shade never the less.  It made it to Vegas on my toes.  Summery yet mysterious, it was definitely the shade for me to wear in Vegas.

Peridot is one of those shades that makes for a wonderful treat :)  It applies smoothly and is only a touch watery in texture.  I found this one dried fairly quickly compared to other brands and many of my other Chanel Nail Lacquers.  It lasts about 3 to 5 days for me with mostly tip wear.  Chanel Le Vernis retails for $27 CAD at Chanel counters at The Bay, Holt Renfrew and Murale.
