MAC A Tartan Tale Petrol Blue, Black Swan & Lord It Up Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner Review & Swatches
I know this is a tad bit late, but better late than never ;) MAC A Tartan Tale includes some fabulous new shades of Pearlglide Intense Eyeliners, as well as a few re-releases. I picked up Petrol Blue, Lord It Up and Black Swan.
Petrol Blue is dark navy blue with silver shimmer. It is a repromote from the MAC Art Supplies Collection from earlier this year. I had considered picking it up back then, but never made it to the counter to pick it up. It goes really well with the blue side of the Venomous Villains She Who Dares Mineralize Eye Shadow Duo. Am glad to pick this up this launch :)
Lord It Up is dark bronze with golden shimmer. It is similar to Urban Decay Bourbon 24/7 Eyeliner, but not quite as orange as Bourbon is. Due to the orangeness, I tend not to use Bourbon too much. Lord It Up is a great alternative to Bourbon :)
Black Swan is black with silver shimmer. It is similar to Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Oil Slick, but more pigmented and with a hint of blue to it.
All three apply pretty well. No issues in tugging or drag on application. I wouldn't use these directly on the waterline, but along the lower lashline works just fine. Personally, I wouldn't use these to work, but for a night out, I'd definitely rock these.
A Tartan Tale also features two additional repromotes: Undercurrent and Blackline. These are from the MAC Art Supplies Collection from earlier this year. Checkout the reviews for those here. HTH and happy shopping :)
