MAC Studio Fix Lash Mascara Review
As always, I've gone ahead to try the newest addition to MAC Cosmetics line up of mascaras. MAC Studio Fix Lash ($15.50 CAD) comes in Black Fix and is permanent. It features a mascara wand with short bristles and a wand length close to that found in MAC Zoomlash. However, far less tightly packed and the Studio Fix bristles are far thinner. In fact it reminds me of Urban Decay Skyscraper Mascara's wand.
The formula itself is fairly black. It suits me just fine, running pretty close to other black MAC mascara's. One of the best things about this mascara is that it doesn't weight my lashes down to the point where I absolutely must use a heated eye lash curler. It saves me a step and time :) It also gives a slight lift to my lashes, drawing them up slightly. As well, the formula doesn't tend to clump easily with two coats. In 3 coats, some clumping occurs, but not overly so that it becomes messy.
At the end of the day, I don't get any flaking or smudging. It removes easily with MAC Cleansing Oil (it's what I've always used as a precursor to cleansing). Overall, my lashes look defined, slightly thicker, lifted, slightly longer and separated.
MAC Studio Fix Lash does a pretty good job of defining and separating lashes. I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for lots of volume or length though. To see it in action, I used it in this FOTD. Overall, I will probably pick up this mascara in the future for everyday use. Hope you like it too :)
